Mike & Elizabeth’s beach engagement session

March 6, 2010

Our latest engagement session was with Mike & Elizabeth. This cute and talented couple is getting married in October at the Scripps Seaside Forum, we can’t wait!!!

We started the engagement session in the exact spot where Mike proposed to Elizabeth, a stretch of sand on Sail Bay. They brought their bikes and a frisbee along for a little exercise and fun.

  • Sue, March 6, 2010:

Oh what a fun photo shoot. I love these pics.

family portraits with the glazebrooks

March 3, 2010

Ross and I recently photographed a family portrait session with my good friends: Steph, Todd, Lily and their newest addition to the family… baby Emma.

Steph, Todd and I all worked together at Seaworld and have been good friends ever since!
I just adore them and their kids are as cute as otters :)

Lily, the 5 year old, is a fiery ball of energy! All she wanted to do was RUN and…man is she fast!
Lucky for us, Lily L.O.V.E.S to be photographed.
Emma is the cutest, happiest little baby and she loves her big sister. I love how her little hairs, on top of her head, stick straight up defiant of gravity.

I love shooting family portraits but it always adds a little sugar on top when the person being photographed brings props and accessories! Stephanie always comes prepared for her sessions. My favorites, this time, are the bunny ears and the flower headbands. How cute are they???

Thanks Steph and Todd, we can’t wait to do it again!

  • Sue, March 3, 2010:

Oh my gosh these are adorable. Lily has gotten so big. I absolutely love this photo session. They are all great.

Newborn Savanna says “Hello World!”

February 26, 2010

I love newborn pictures. Their little toe’s and fingers are so cute…but I love anything miniature!

It was Savanna’s nap time so that allowed us to do some posing with no fuss.
She looks so cute hangin’ with her teddy bears.

Savannah is cute but BELLA, the boxer, wanted to be the real center of attention! This dog was absolutely amazing. I used to be an animal trainer and I have to say Mike and Tara trained her beautifully. Her manners were top notch.

  • Sue, February 26, 2010:

    Oh, sooo sweet. Great job.

Nathaniel & Darby’s beach engagement session

February 23, 2010

We LOVE photographing engagement sessions at the beach!

Nate and Darby are our most recent couple to contact us about engagement pictures. They are highschool sweethearts (love it!) from Montana and plan on getting married there later this year. Nate is in the Marines’s (the uniform gave it away, huh?) and will be deploying VERY shortly. He eventually wants to pursue a career in Fire rescue/EMT, hopefully in the San Diego area.

We started off their engagement session at Wind-n-sea beach, which is famous for it’s surf, thatched hut, ocean spray and beautiful rocky beach. It did not disappoint!
Then we darted off to Pacific Beach. With a quick wardrobe change, Nate and Darby were ready to get their toes in the sand!!!

These two were naturals in front of the camera. They were always smiling and playing around, which makes for great candid shots!

Thanks for having us Nate and Darby!

  • Brenda, February 24, 2010:

Great photos, Lisa! My favorites are the b&w of them looking at each other (very playful) and the 2nd one from the bottom of them walking on the beach with the Crystal Pier in the background. Keep up the good work!

Matt and Allison’s beach engagement session

February 18, 2010

Matt and Allison live in Las Vegas and contacted us for an engagement session at the beach in San Diego.
WELLLLL….how perfect! We happen to live three blocks from the beach!!

Ross and I rode our bikes up to meet the couple at Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. It was a glorious day in the middle of February! 75 degrees in February…awesome!!!

Matt and Allison…we DO travel for weddings!!! *wink*wink*

San Diego…Oh how I love thee…

  • Sue, February 18, 2010:

What an adorabgle couple. They both have such big beautiful eyes. Great job. Love the reflection!!

  • Sue, February 18, 2010:

    oops “adorable couple”

Sean and Mairead’s wedding slideshow

February 16, 2010

Please be patient while it loads…it’s worth the wait :)

  • Sue, February 17, 2010:

Oh my gosh you’re not kidding…. That was WELL worth the wait (by the way, wasn’t long at all). What a beautiful video. It looks like a ton of fun. The photos are georgeous and you gotta love men in uniform. Fantastic job.

  • Jessica Jacob Photography, February 17, 2010:

Gorgeous photos Lisa! And I love the slideshow. It only took a few seconds to load, and it was totally worth it!

Sean and Mairead Glass are now married!

February 8, 2010

Sean and Mairead were married this past Saturday in the beautiful Sacred Heart Church on Coronado Island, California. You may remember them from their engagement session late last year. I absolutely adore these two! They are such an inspiration to others and you can tell they will make w.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l parents some day!

I asked Sean and Mairead a little about themselves. This is what they had to say…

How did you two meet?

We met at dinner at a mutual friend’s parents’ house. We kept seeing each other there!

How did Sean pop the question?

Sean completely surprised me by proposing at my parents’ house in NH. We went for a walk in the woods on a pretty trail that ended in a covered bridge over a stream…he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Why Sean?

Sean is the perfect man for me. He is better than anything I could have imagined for myself!

Why Mairead?

The long answer is that I know without a doubt that Mairead is the woman that God chose for me. With Mairead I have grown in my faith and I have grown as a man. My job takes me away from her frequently, but I know that when we have children and I am away, Mairead will love them and guard them and share our faith with them. It will be very trying, but Mairead is strong.

The short answer is that my soon-to-be wife is drop dead gorgeous. She makes me laugh and everyday I am with her is a great day. I now and forever will love Mairead with all of my heart.

Where are you going on your honeymoon and WHY?

We are going to head to Costa Rica - we wanted a place where we had the option to be active but could also be lazy without feeling guilty. We are going to an all inclusive resort that offers lots of outdoor activities. We’ll love it - especially since we can get pretty competitive with sports!

  • Sue, February 9, 2010:

Love the new layout. These pictures are beautiful. The last one is a hoot. They sure make a beautiful couple. Love, love, love the clear logo on the pics.

  • Jessica Jacob Photography, February 17, 2010:

Love the pictures! Love the new logo!
