Wedding at St Gregory the Great

December 4, 2008

I shot this wedding with my friend Carrie McCluskey. She invites me to shoot alongside of her frequently. Sometimes she’ll have me meet up with the groom and groomsmen for the “getting ready portraits”.
I don’t know about you but I grew up being very shy. I didn’t like speech class in college and I certainly didn’t like being the center of attention….EVER. Working for SeaWorld for 12 years, talking in front of 5 thousand people everyday will make you come out of your shell, I tell ya!!!!!!
So…you could say I’m a little different now, a little more outgoing…. but there are times, like when Carrie sends me to a hotel room to meet up with 8-12 guys waiting to have their picture taken (that I’ve never met before). You could say, I revert back to my grade school days, when I feel awkward and strange….and suddenly THRUST into being the center of attention somehow.
Hmmm…strange……. and then it all works out….and I actually really ENJOY myself…and thank Carrie for sending me over to meet up with the guys…and then, it starts all over again (I feel the anxiety coming on)
Anyway, what I am getting at is….. I want to thank Noel and his groomsmen for making me feel completely comfortable and at home :)

WOW your shot of the little girl through the door is awesome as is the baby pic. Again your eye for details is amazing, your fun pics are great and last but not least capturing the bride and groom to show their happiness and love is fantastic. Great job Lisa.

This looks like it was an amazing wedding, and you captured it beautifully. I LOVE the church shot, the flowers, the rings… I could go on and on! You did a great job.
