Lynn Dao, a photographer friend of mine, invited me along on a photo session with a couple of friends. We went to Lynn’s favorite little hideout but I can’t tell you where.
Just know that after all of the flowers have died…beauty still remains.

What do you think of this one? I’m not sure if I like it…hmmm

I know, I’ve been gone for a while…did you miss me??? I thought I’d come back with a punch!!!
I’m really into recycling and “going green” and this series of photographs speaks with that theme. I didn’t plan it that way, the environment just lent itself to the idea and I really like the way they turned out.

I have never shot maternity photos before. Jessica and Eric are my past clients so I was excited to try it out!! We decided to head out to Otay Lakes. Jessica was so kind and supportive of being the guinea pig and I’m amazed and honored that she believed in me enough to experiment!

She already has a little boy named Tristan (what an awesome name!). He joined us for the shoot and did some posing of his own. Eric and Jessica are SUCH great parents already so this baby’s in good hands.

Eric and Jessica are having another little boy. I know Jessica’s not a fan of her belly button but I think this picture wouldn’t have worked without it, its so cute!

I think that being fit is one of the ways to live life to its fullest. Jessica seems to embody this. I can’t believe she did a handstand and nailed it for the picture! Who does that? Seriously, who can do that? I can hardly balance upright and this girl has a 5lb bowling ball attached to her belly and she still makes it happen! AMAZING

Otay Lakes was a gorgeous setting for these pictures. I just love the great outdoors!!!

Thanks for hiring me and being SO adventurous Jessica!

We interrupt this regularly scheduled programming to bring you…
CHOCOLATE
Oh chocolate….oh how I love thee!

Wow, that thing looks great blown up. You know you want some!
So, if you didn’t know, I’m engaged to be married, July of this year. Its SO exciting…I can hardly wait! My fiance and I met with the caterers, Authentic Flavors today, who also happen to be a client of mine, and we did some cake tasting. They also needed some images made of these cupcakes. I got to take the cupcakes with me to photograph…and then…and then…I got to eat them! Thats right folks. I ate them! Not just one, but 4!!! I ate FOUR in a matter of 2 hours. People…these things are addictive!!!
I just couldn’t help myself. The ones with almond have raspberry in the middle!
Anyway, thought you might enjoy something a little different

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming!

In honor of Earthday, I thought I would introduce all of you to one of my little buddies. I really wanted to start a card series with the pictures I took of these little otters. Be on the lookout for new images of these cuties whenever a holiday rolls around. I have quite a few up my sleeve.
I try to do what I can to help the environment by driving an economical car, recycling the majority of my garbage, turning off lights when I’m not using them, etc. I even sent my “save the date” and wedding invitations via EMAIL!!!! It was so easy!!! I have a wedding website and all the guests had to do was click on a link and RSVP!!!….couldn’t have been easier.
Anyway, please do your part and enjoy Earthday 2008!

love the fence shot!
Lisa- the last one should be up on a wall somewhere! I love it!!!
can i just say that i just LOVE your entire blog? your wedding shots, your cupcake shots, your referral program? holy cow, lady, I love your work! how does your referral program work, by the way? do you do a drawing of names and pick someone to take shopping? how does it work! i’d LOVE to incorporate something like that into my business! anyway! thanks for having such nice work! you’re an inspriation!
Lees! LOVE the one in the sepia-ish tone. Very cool! And I do love the last one with the flower. Great eye:)
The first one looks as though the tree is framing them in a heart shape, very nice. The sepia to me looks like they were sneeking a kiss and you caught them, I thinik it’s vey sweet. I like them all but I think the last one is special. Great job, Lisa
I love that shot. It’s my fave!
Seriously??? Love, love, LOVE it!
