Amanda’s Senior Portraits

June 27, 2008

Two weeks ago was the week of firsts for me! I have never photographed senior portraits before. I was referred to Lori by my friend Beckie. Lori is Beckie’s sister and Amanda is Lori’s daughter. Amanda is the “senior” in the senior portraits. Got it??? Don’t you just hate when people do that to you??? and you’re like… “huh?”

Nevermind all that….meet Amanda

Outstanding job, Lisa. You really managed to capture the blueness of her eyes. I can see the family resemblence between her and Beckie.

  • Sue, June 28, 2008:

Oh my gosh, Amanda is a very pretty young lady and the colors are perfect. The background in each of the pictures compliment her outfits and her beautiful blue eyes. Who doesn’t love that smile?Great first Lisa.

Ahhh…these are so great! What a cute girl…you really did a great job on these. Aren’t seniors fun?!? I love ‘em!

  • Lori Jamison, June 30, 2008:

Lisa they are beuatiful. Thanks for all the time you spent with her. She had a great time and we all love them!!! You are great at what you do and I am glad we could be your first.

These are beautiful pictures! I would never have guessed that these were your first senoir portraits. I know Amanda and you have captured her beauty both inside and out. I know that you will be bombarded with senior portrait requests after these.

GREAT job Lisa! The images are beautiful + so natural.

Ever heard of the Junipero Serra Museum?

May 4, 2008

“The Junípero Serra Museum, in Presidio Park, is one of the most familiar landmarks in San Diego. As a major symbol of the city, it stands atop the hill recognized as the site where California began.”
Who knew???
I’ve been up to Presido Park before, to take portraits, but never really realized the importance of that museum.
I just LOVE my job! I get to travel and learn all about San Diego… the city I love more than anywhere in the world!!! I also LOVE taking pictures of people IN LOVE. THIS couple, April and Ken, surely didn’t let me down. Here are the two…oh so in love, even after all of the years.

Okay, how gorgeous are these girls??? I mean, seriously, I don’t ever have to hire models…the wedding party was actually THIS stunning!

THESE GIRLS SHOULD BE IN A MAGAZINE!!!

This is THE BEST ring exchange I have ever taken. You can’t beat the vantage point I had for this one. Man, that was fun!!! I get so excited when I get images I’m proud of…you know. I really feel blessed to get to do this for a living. It really is an honor to be given the opportunity to give the client one of the most important memories of their lives, ones that will last longer than the lives themselves.
ring exchange

This is what happened when we were trying to do formal posed pictures… the bride asks a friend, off to the side, a question. The friend can’t hear her, so she leans forward…falls into the bushes…and save her drink! Not a drop was spilled…thats talent the others could appreciate!

Logan…on this beautiful Sunday

March 30, 2008

Hi!
I’ve been meaning to post this video now, for about 4 weeks. I set it aside in one of my mailboxes so it could appear when most appropriate. Well, I happened to get an email with an update from my friend Monique so I thought today would be the perfect day. The first video is the original…the second, an update. Thanks for listening and happy Sunday :)

My 1st post on my new Blog!

October 4, 2007

Well, I thought it was about time to join the rest of the world and start up a blog. I’m kind of excited about it too! I recently had the opportunity to take wedding pictures of a friend of mine. Normally I make friends with the brides and grooms but this wedding I had the fortune of knowing Shannon before she was even engaged! The wedding took place in San Diego at Flynn Springs County Park. The weather decided it would take a turn for the worse and rain. Then, just before the ceremony, the sun came out. The lighting was beautiful! For those of you who have never been, its a great place to have a wedding. Its located in El Cajon, CA.
